Why Do People Ignore?
Maybe because of some preconceived ideas about that person. This may be the reason why some people ignore others as they may have formed an opinion about you without actually knowing you.
This is a question I asked myself several times in the past.
Someone could ignore you for many reasons, a few being:
Jealousy
Hate
Dislike
A strong feeling of superiority in relation to you
A realization that you can't provide them something material or not (love, money, knowledge etc.)
A relative indifference, they must consider that they don't need/want your friendship/love.
I think you are available for the people whenever they need them, so eventually, they start taking you for granted and start ignoring you.
People do not realize until you stop doing the things.
I used to feel bad because of such behavior especially when I was nice to them, but I have decided that I would not let these people make me feel bad anymore and that's why I connected with other people who truly value me and respond to me.
There are two cases or reasons why people ignore others.
One is when they are insecure.
Insecure about themselves. They don’t feel comfortable about their physical, intellectual or emotional aspect around some people. Some are just conscious about what we may think when they are around, so they tend to ignore us to make them feel safe and sound. It’s an illusion they keep around themselves to make them feel comfortable.
Secondly, people who-who are insensitive and arrogant. Their ego and their overconfidence which makes them ignore people. They too have an illusion that life starts with them and ends with their decision. Such people are dangerous, not to others but for themselves. As life and time have this nasty habit of hitting us hard when we least expect it too.
Sometimes we all behave weirdly. We tend to overlook others either knowingly or unknowingly. Sometimes we correct ourselves sometimes we let go.
In the end, ignoring on purpose may have different intent. At times it may be rational and at times irrational.
To conclude, people are complex creatures. Sometimes sane act insane and at times insane act sane!
Let me make it more simple in today's world people actually needs a person who hears them rather than a person who cares and always talk…..it's like a time frame in a relationship that at time you are important to someone and at the next moment they tend to ignore you stating silly and absurd reasons. And when it happens you can't bear it at first instance but then you get used it….
It's just that if the other person is not concerned about your mental situation then it's better to understand that the reason for the relationship is a compulsion of either one in the relationship rather than love, bondage or care.
People ignore others that don’t have anything they need.
As humans, we have a tendency to see the world as problems and other people as the solution to those problems.
When they aren't, they become invisible to us.
Our true self, on the other hand, sees a world of abundance, an abundance we like to share.
Suddenly, everyone is visible.
Buddha said:
“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the single candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
